Fentress, TX

We ventured out to spend a lazy Tuesday evening at Leisure Camp in Fentress. It is located on the San Marcos and covered by huge pecan trees. We learned why so many of the other RVers were in sunny spots. The pecans fall from those trees and sound like gun shots!
We had a nice time and Bonnie got to take her maiden voyage. She isn't real sure how she feels about this leash business but she's getting accustomed to it.
We managed to hook and unhook successfully - yea! We did manage to de-spring our spring loaded sun shade on the door so we'll add that to our little "do something about it" list.
Until next time. . .

Challenges

We learned that Peg's bed is quite the little challenge to make up as it is surrounded on three + sides by wall. A long spatula comes in handy for that process. Betsy just throws her sleeping bag up top so low maintenance in that area.
Bets got over her trepidation at having to empty the black and gray water tanks. No big deal as long as everything remains fastened together!
Our next adventure will be easier, I think, and we'll include Bonnie in the mix.

First Night Out

After the actual purchase of Minerva, we stayed overnight in the CrestView RV park to try things out. Our view was less than scenic but we did manage to hook and unhook everything properly, cook a nice meal of stew and cornbread, and sleep soundly once we got used to the movement of the vehicle.
